Q: Is King Tote a moving company?

King Tote is not a moving company directly. However, we have several partners that we work with that use our totes and would be happy to move you. Please see our Partners Here, or give us a call and we’ll be happy to give our recommendation.

Q: What areas does King Tote service?

Currently, we deliver to certain areas of Davis County, all of Salt Lake County and part of Utah County. We now offer our services in parts of Washington County.

We also offer a self-service option if you live outside the bounds and still want to use our service. Call to discuss today.

Q: Why plastic vs. cardboard?

Because we’re some tree-hugging, mother earth loving hippies that want to do a little more to save the environment. Reusing and Reducing are even more important than Recycling. Recycling takes lots of energy, and did you know that cardboard boxes that have excessive glue or tape can’t even be recycled? To the landfill they go! Our totes are infinitely reusable. They’re even created from recycled plastic in the first place.

Another little-known fact: bedbugs love cardboard! So beware of those boxes you pick up from just anywhere…

Q: What size are the totes?

27″L x 17″W x 12″H. These totes are the perfect size for moving everything from books to dishes to clothes to other household items. Anything smaller would be pointless and for anything bigger you’d have to recruit the local football team to move it for you. Learn more about our bins here.

Q: Is there a delivery and pick-up fee?

Not if you go with one of  our sweet packages, then your delivery and pick up is FREE! There are some delivery fees that may apply in certain circumstances. If you order a number of totes below our baseline package of 25 totes, there is a fee of up to $30.00. Also, any extra totes that you add on after purchase, there could be a fee. Q: How long do I get to keep the totes?

We offer several price packages for specific weekly periods. Check out our Pricing on our homepage for details. Need them for longer? No worries, we can add more weeks or even extend your rental period in the middle of your move. Call us for any questions, 801-613-7030.

Q: Can I keep the boxes longer if I needed to?

You bet your sweet bippy you can! You can extend your rental term at anytime within your rental period as long as it’s not within 24 hours of your pick-up date. Call us at 801-613-7030 to make arrangements.

Q: What happens if I realize in the middle of packing I need more totes?

Don’t sweat it! It’s as simple as calling us and placing another order. Any order that is less than 25 boxes will have a $30 delivery fee in addition to an individual box charge of $3.49. Any extra boxes delivered, will be picked up at the same time and location of your original order.

Q: Do I have to be home to receive / release the totes?

Yes. We require someone over the age of 18 to receive/release your order. Your order will be confirmed and signature will be required.

Q: What is the cancellation policy?

Hey, things happen. You have enough to worry about with your move, we want to make it easy as possible. As long as you cancel 72 hours before your delivery date we’ll provide a full refund. We prep before all our deliveries, and we have to pay the poor saps for doing so. If you cancel within 72 hours of your delivery date, there may be a small fee of $30.00. Give us a call if you have questions, and we’ll work with you.

Q: If I have movers already, can I use King Tote?

Of course! You have a couple of options: if you want the movers to pack your belongings, let them know you already have totes for moving and ask them to discount their fee for the boxes you won’t be using, along with the time that they won’t be assembling and taping up boxes. Otherwise, pack the totes yourselves and pay the movers just for moving them.

Q: Do I need tape for my totes?

Nope, no more tape and its many undesirable tagalongs: annoying plastic dispenser with the dull serrated edge, trying to rip off a piece with your teeth when you can’t find the scissors that you know you just put down somewhere, using your fingernail to find the edge to peel up – again. We do offer safety zips for the totes, as well as labels.

Q: Are packaging materials included?

No, but you can add them to your order and we’ll deliver them along with your totes.

Q: What payment types do you accept?

We take it all… money, fast cars, diamond rings, gold chains and champagne….uh we mean all major credit cards. Visa, American Express, Discover and MasterCard

Q: Do you order rush service for orders under 24 hours notice?

Great question! As long as we have the inventory and time then we do. A small gotcha… a charge of up to 50% of the package price will be included. Please call for rush service, as our online process won’t allow for scheduling.
